GREATFUL FOR TEMPLES

So today in our sunday school class there were a couple investigators. This isn't uncommon living in the mission field. (we attend the gospel-essentials class because we are ward missionaries.) Anyways. . . The lesson was on temple ordinances and the blessings we receive from them- and how it is essential for us to go there so we can eventually return to live with our heavenly father. Well, a sweet sister(an investigator who comes often to church-raised as a catholic) had a different view on this. One of the missionaries asked her to share her thoughts on the temple. She let us know that she didn't have a testimony of temples and that she felt they were not important for our salvation. She also said that her mother hated the "mormon's" so she wouldn't want to go to the temple to do her temple work. After our discussion I hope she left feeling the spirit and will pray for a testimony of it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and feelings. I can understand how  the temple could maybe be an overwhelming concept for a non-member.  I really hope that one day she will gain a testimony of the importance of temples. I am so grateful for a testimony of temple work. I hope that one day all of my family can enjoy the blessings of the temple also.
