FAMILY FUN DAY AT SCHOOL

Today was Family Fun Day at Pre-school. This is Tyler's teacher- Miss Melissa. Me and meimei got to go to school and see what Ty gets to do all day. We got to eat good old school cafeteria food. (which was actually really good). We got to do lots of cool things. He really liked having us there with him. Meili entertained the whole class and sang the songs with the other kids.

I LOVE FALL!!!

So Fall is my favorite season. I love Fall leaves, fall pictures, fall scents, fall activities, Oct. conference, trick or treating, soup, pumpkin bread and cookies.

Meili's hair fits in a pony tail. CRAZY!! It is curled up here but if it is combed out it is LONG.

Dave cooked me the BEST meal I have EVER HAD. bacon wrapped Salmon on the grill. OH MY GOSH. I told him- forget Dental school- HELLO. . . . . DAVE'S GRILL.

My neighbor came and got us to meet her friend. This friend made his home on her porch. It was a very misty day in Omaha and the web was covered in droplets. It was really cool looking. The spider was SUPER creepy but the web was actually cool--- AND I HATE SPIDERS.

This is Mei-mei in her full glory after waking up from a nap. Yep- She looked so Beautiful I just had to grab my camera. 

5+3= 8   She now has 8 teeth. 

Sometimes you just have to let the kids be kids. This morning they decided to play in the mud. Meili's pants were covered and their feet were disgusting. 

What would you say? Having a good or a bad hair day???? Poor Meili no one ever does your hair.

Just more gray hairs------ that's all!

YEP, I TURNED 30! 

THE BIG 3-0. I even woke up the next morning feeling tired. No one told me the 30's would make you 

suddenly OLD.  

Just kidding, it isn't so bad. I already have gray hair so it couldn't be so much worse than that right? I hope that being in the 30's will be as good as the 20's. 

Dave let me go shopping!!!, Naomi trimmed my gray hair, Friends dropped by gifts all day and yummy treats all day, I got pictures of my kids, We BBQed good food, we were on time to church, Tyler sang me a song and helped me blow out the candles on my cake.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP (kiddie) MODELS

So, I told Dave for my birthday I just wanted pics of the kids. I am always taking pics of other children, and forget to do shoots of my own children.  It was sorta fun. They didn't cooperate very well though- I thought that none of them turned out- when I got home and saw them- There was some! YEAH... Bribing is a fabulous thing. I was pulling it all out! Man they are getting old. 4 1/2 years and 1 year old. 

This is NOT posed. Tyler HAD to have his glasses and this is ALL him. NO KIDDING. He is such a little STUD- PUNK actually. I was first sorta bugged by him being silly- I wanted just the perfect shots- But I am glad that Tyler is the way he is because this is just all him and I love it!

Meili has been a little grumpy trying to cut her 6th tooth. She has been snotty and drooly, But I

managed one smile out of her.

P.S. Mom, I will mail you a disc. don't you worry!

Labor Day fun

So, this is late- but I forgot to post these. WE are so LUCKY to have family really close to us in Nebraska. Both of Dave's brothers are in Med school in Des Moines, Iowa. So they live only 2 hours away. Anyways. . . . so for Labor Day weekend and for Paul's birthday we had them up for a BBQ, sleep over. It was way fun. We were going to play games but ended up just talking until 3:30 in the morning. We topped it off with a great pancake breakfast. Yum Yum.


Paul has needed to go to the dentist in a while. So, Dave checked out the instruments and gave him a good scraping. (in the basement). It was just way too funny! Leilani and I had a great laugh. His teeth looked great afterward. And from what Dave could tell only a 1-2 cavities.


Tyler was the great assistant- making sure Dad was doing it the right way. Notice he is in his underwear. That is a sure way to get patients in your door- have your assistance in their undies. OH DEAR!!!!

QUILT GROUP/CLASS

So I am going to do a little quilt group here in Village Green. If you want to come it will be in the next couple week's for all you Omaha folk. 

We got it down to a science now.

So for some reason Omaha beef is so dang good. We get the ground sirloin. Anyways. . . . we grill up a mean burger! MMMMMMMMMMMM tasty!!!  In fact, any family wanting to come visit will get a nice fat steak and a HUGE burger. (What could be more tempting????)

This is mainly for myself- so that I can remember what my kids are like at this moment.

TYLER:

4yrs.---39lbs.---41 1/2"tall

He Loves Trains, DIRT, riding his bike or bigwheel, FRIENDS, his baby sister (especially her fuzzy hair), cooking, making mud pies, or mud/leaf/stick soup.

Tyler loves chicken nuggetts, popcorn, and candy. 

Tyler goes to school everyday. He loves his teacher and class. He loves being outside, camping, going on Grandpa's boat and to his property up the canyon. He loves primary and his teachers. 

Tyler is very active & busy- he never slows down. He is silly and says the funniest things. He is a crazy 4 year old. He does not nap, but sleeps good at night.

MEILI:

1 yr.------20lb. 12oz.------21" tall (3%)

She is a happy, smiley, silly baby. She loves to "pounce and wrestle with Daddy and Tyler. She loves stuffed animals. Especially her GIANT monkey. She likes to play with Tyler's toys. Her favorite food is grapes. She will eat anything you give her. She is not walking but crawls everywhere. And walks along furniture. She loves her brother to pieces. She thinks Dad is her boyfriend. 

Favorite word Dada. It is the all-pourpous word. She says Mama occasionally and NiNi for night night. Meili is a GREAT sleeper. She loves swimming, to be warm, and sand. 

Meili is a big FLIRT. And can turn on the charm. She is a little shy in large groups of people. 

My BIG shopping DILEMA

SO, Meili has a little bit of chubbs on her legs and bootie. (a badonkadonk). So now that it is FALL time and she needs pants/jeans- I am having a hard time!!!

They are way too tight on her thighs- so I have to buy the next size larger (24mon. or 2t). Then they are WAYYYYY too long on her. (she is in the 3% for height). 

Good thing I know how to sew---looks like I will be hemming every pair of her pants. Capri's fit her perfectly like pants. OH, this will be FUN fitting clothes to her.

Then. . . . Tyler is starting to wear BOY size shirts not Toddler so much any more. The 5T shirts are just too short and fit more like belly shirts when they are washed. BUT. . . . the BOY clothes are SO much more money!!! 

When did Target think they could charge LOTS of money for kids clothes. When did clothes go up in price so much???? Geez what happened to $5.00 jeans? Isn't that what they were before??

Now I know how my mom felt trying to outfit 5 kids for school with new clothes and shoes. IT IS EXPENSIVE!!!! How do you do it- especially on a student budget! 

I HATE TO SHOP, I decided.   . . . . ... ...... well at least for today!
