Being ONE is pretty cool!

PRINCESS for a Day- actually always a princess.

Meili had a fun day. We just hung out and had a little make your own pizza party with some friends. The food was good and Meili enjoyed her cake. (so did her friends, especially Moses). I wish I could take credit for making such an adorable cake- NOPE I can't. I had a friend here make it for me (p.s. talented cake maker Erin Roring). She even made Meili a little mini smash cake just for herself. Then we got to eat the fancy one. Meili was a little emotional at the party. Hey it's her party- she can cry if she wants too- RIGHT????? Still can't believe she is 1.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY!

I can not believe my baby is 1 today. This year has FLOWN by so dang fast. I wish I could stop time. I remember that day 1 year ago I got a phone call that Meili's birthmom was giving birth a month early in Honolulu Hawaii. We booked flights out of Nebraska that night and were in Honolulu the next morning. I remember when I first saw Meili. She was truely the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. And I knew she was mine. I love you to pieces Meili- I can't believe you are ONE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Night before Preschool Brownie & Milk Party

So Tyler said he wanted treats last nice. Since he starts school today- we had a Back to School Brownie & MilkParty. Tyler made brownies all by himself (he thinks.) They were sure good. I think Tyler actually liked licking the bowl more than eating his brownie. What a great reason to celebrate. 3 hours in the afternoon with just me and the napping babe- I mean Tyler starting school.

Oh the Joys of Mother hood. . . (DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T LIKE POTTY TALK)

So we were at Walmart. . ."I have to go POOPY, really really bad" Tyler announces in the crouded Toy section. We get to the potty and he goes in to do the duty. We were in the Walmart bathroom- no kiddy 30 minutes. Anyone who knows my son knows he has huge MAN-poops. Anyways it took him 30mins to go (this isn't very common). Anyways. . . after we are done he announces once again to a full bathroom. "Look at my poop mommy, It is SOOOO BIG."

Thanks son, for embarrassing me!!! THEN. . .

Yesterday Tyler realized AFTER ONE YEAR that Meili didn't have a peepee (boy part). I told him that only boys have peepee's. He said, oh she just has 2 bums? Yep, she does. He asked if I had a peepee?- nope- just you and daddy do. "Oh, ok." and that was it. Thank heavens!! No more questions asked.

I KNOW. . . I AM A SLACKER- WELL ACTUALLY JUST A BUSY MOM RUNNING AROUND WITH HER HEAD CUT-OFF. . . THAT IS REALLY WHY I HAVEN'T POSTED IN SO LONG.

Sorry, Family, It's been way too long- I hear. . . . so here you go: MAJOR UPDATE!!!-
I BLAME IT ON THE DANG OLYMPICS!

My babies are getting so big:
1. Tyler starts pre-school at the elementary school. He will go everyday for 3 hours.
2. Meili turns 1 years old on Saturday.

We got back to OMAHA safely, it was nice to get back home. Although I am already having Utah with-drawls. We got back to BBQ after BBQ after BBQ. Our neighborhood does a little bike parade every year. All the kids decorate their bikes and we eat yummy treats. We did Tyler's bike as an airplane- but ended up not fitting through the tunnels so he rode on his big wheel instead. All those hours of work- what crazy mom's do for their kids.

He wrode the bigwheel instead. (cute little Sidney on the left with the sunglasses)
Tyler is in this big old clump of kids.
The cheering section!!!!

I am trying to catch up on many projects- These are two that I finished. The calendar window I finished before summer break- the dresser/cabinet I put in my living room- I finished it this morning. For those who don't know me- I love old things and to fix them up. I got this old window at a antique shop and the dresser I got at Salvation Army. I am getting some friends hooked now too.

BLACKMAIL PICTURES:
Just a silly kid. He did get himself dressed all by himself. (Notice the collar and black socks!)

This is just a silly face. Aaarrrrr Matey!

Meili in her sealing dress. She is so stinkin' cute. I didn't get to post these ones before.

LAKE POWELL
This was the last thing we did in UTAH while on our summer vacation. We went to Lake Powell. Oh, I love this place. We had a BALL. It was so DANG HOT- sleeping in 105 isn't the funnest thing ever. But we still had a great time!

Learning to drive Grandpa's boat at a young age.
True Hawaiian- loved the sand and the water!- doesn't she have the greatest little budha belly. And notice she is the same color as the sand- hee hee hee.

Tyler LOVED riding the tube. We have put him on this since he was 1 years old. He just wanted to ride with Grandma and Dad. He didn't wipe off this smile the WHOLE time.
Meili watching Tyler on the tube- wishing she was out there too.
Dave doing a little cliff jumping.
We lived in the water because it was so DANG HOT.

Tyler loved swimming
Tyler and the cousins playing on the SWEET sandy beach
Tyler wanted to move here

That's a wrap for now. (Phewwww)
