It's My Birthday!

Silly me, it's not MY birthday - it's my MOMMY'S birthday!

HOLY COW------ has it really been so long

Sorry, I have been slackin' big time!

Just a whole lot of HEAT and HUMIDITY going on around here. We are just trying to stay cool. Paul (dave's bro.) came up for a Saturday with their new baby Kai. He was so dang cute! The kids just didn't quite know what to do with a new baby around. Kai was the best baby I have EVER seen. He literally DID not cry the WHOLE day. Or even FUSS... He was so good. Uncle Paul and Leilani sure lucked out!

We celebrated a "special occasion" for a friend and made a pink SASSY boot for her since she is the SHOE QUEEN. (All the credit really needs to go to Melissa though)

Meili has turned into a TERRIBLE TWO! She does this annoying yell and says "NO" and started hitting little kids...... ewwwwww......... just rotten. We are working on it! But you can tell she has the crusty face down good. I forgot about these terrible twos......

A lot of friends have moved on. We will miss them all alot! One of them brought over Meili a doll they weren't going to move with them. She just loved it and gave her a big hug. This was one of her cute moments.

FLOP or NOT?

So the stars were aligned (or not) the other day, it was over cast, Dave got home early from school, the kids clothes were washed, we had nothin' better to do but go have a PHOTO SHOOT. This time of my own children. . . . . . . why NOT? right? Of course the models of this shoot happen to be my hardest clients! " Say cheese, please, just give me ONE dang smile, please, please, come on, just ONE, are you going to have me BEG?" then the bribes come out...... "You will get a new toy, an icecream cone, candy anyone?, I'm going to tickle you, JUST ONE NORMAL SMILE IS ALL I WANT!!"

Well all in all. I did end up getting a couple keepers. Those silly kiddo's. Now I know why I only do this like once a year with my kids. Hope this gives you a fix

IT'S OFFICIALLY SUMMER!!!!!!!!!

How many munchkin's can you fit in a pool? We bought this little TINY splash pool. The kids had fun though. They didn't mind freezing hose water. Meili is such a little fish. Tyler is only in one picture because he was being so silly running around I couldn't get any of him!

SO BIG!! I feel so OLD....

A couple nights ago we took Ty's training wheels off of his new big boy bike. It took him about 5 mins. and he was crusin'. He was so brave and so PROUD of himself. He has told everyone- everywhere we go- that he can ride with no training wheels. Now- the problem is getting him off that thing to come inside. He LOVES it! Good job Ty! 

A Special Gift from one mother to ME....

So on Mother's Day I just have to reflect on another Mother. The birthmother of my baby. She is so dear to my heart. I can't help but reflect back to the time when this mother gave me the greatest gift she could ever give....... Her baby Girl. I was already a  mother but just knew that I was to be a mother again and through this AMAZING woman- it was all possible. 

I look at Meili and am so greatful that I am her mother and am so glad Heavenly Father got her to the family that she was suppose to be with. Motherhood truely is such a wonderful blessing! I love my kids and thanks Dave for making this such a good mother's day!

Just wanted to Say Happy Mothers Day to my MOM's.  Hope you have a great Day. We miss you and hope that we were there with you! But know that we LOVE YOU! 

YEAH FOR DAVE!!!- LETS GET QUILTING!

I AM SO GLAD FINALS ARE OVER!!!!! Yesterday finished the last of his finals after 3 LOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGG weeks! I am so excited to have a hubby again. Good Job Dave- only one more year..... YEAH!!!!

Good job to all the other students that just finished too- GIRLS TIME FOR ANOTHER QUILT NIGHT- RIGHT?

I started sewing strips together and just fitting them together in rows.

some strips are only 1" wide others are like 10" wide. Colors are brown, celery green, aqua blue cream. 

"Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do with out."

This is my moto for this particular quilt. I have so many piles of fabric that I need to make things with. Quilt top done! It is like doing a puzzle. Just sewing them all together. There is no pattern just use all those coordinating scraps and VIOLA!   Adorable quilt. I will make 2 for my sister inlaw who is having twin monkies I mean boys.

A must have!
